Background
Early Life
Brilliant but a fuckup prone to making poor choices even from a young age. Deac was the youngest gnome in his family, which is noted for producing brilliant scholars, to be admitted to the University of Hakan and the first ever to be thrown out and permanently magically banished from campus property. A minor cheating scandal and a small number of non-fatal poisonings led to Deac being dismissed from the next 2 most prestigious universities in New Hakan and burning through the good will of most of his family. After facing possible charges for the production and sale of illegal "study aid" potions during the admission interview on the campus of Peggredarion Regional Alchemy Institute, Deac was put on a wagon in a Grosko, Turko, and Leobgytha caravan leaving the country and given the order of returning only after completing his studies at a foreign university or completing a 12-year stint as an apprentice with GTL crafters in one of the traveling caravans. Despite given letters of recommendation which would allow him into many universities or his choice of apprenticeships he instead has ditched the caravan and set out on his own.
Current Life
Deac's exile led to an immediate and severe change in his lifestyle as it also came with being cut off from his family's wealth as he left only with what he was allowed to throw into 1 bag. He left behind years of magical equipment and research and is still having problems adjusting to a world where nearly anything he wants is not immediately available. The loss of an especially expensive and effective magical brewing apparatus was especially difficulty and after several months Deac is mostly recovered from going through withdrawal. Having at least for the moment given up formal education he is quickly learning that he needs some way to make money besides selling beer or honey or mayonnaise from an alchemy jug.

Deac is interested in magic in general and magic item creation/alchemy especially.
