Gnomish Insurrection

After Old Hakan was annexed by the Ubrekti Empire, the Gnomes violently resisted dominion. Their insurrection was marked by guerrilla strikes against highly political targets, with results that were notoriously bloody and uncaring of collateral damage (the Gnomes insist that the latter characterization is over-emphasized in history, being as most accounts that exist come from the records of their oppressors).

The Insurrection was finally ended, after several centuries, when the Dwarves of Gildenhome agreed to take the Gnomes into their lands, beginning the Gnomish Vassalage.
