Notes

The show!

  • an introductory image plays
  • act 1: the pastor! the betrayal!
    • This does not go well
  • act 2: the showdown, death of thola!
    • Act II goes much better. The crowd noise settles down. They laugh and woo at the appropriate places. In fact, the success of all the other parts cover up somewhat for the lurchyness of the zombie extra.
  • act 3: death of thola, and resurrection
    • Act III goes off perfectly. The crowd remains attentive and focused. At the end of the performance, the crowd explodes into hoots and cheers.
    • The ovation continues for many minutes as you take your bows. The energy of the crowd is positive as they leave, chatting amiably end excitedly.

Next Day: Meeting Day!

  • Gorra casts Divination - town will still be here in seven days!
  • next morning, before the meeting, we go to talk to the worgs
    • initial attempts to talk to hobbo worgs is met with resistance, but wolf bamfs in anyway
    • Worgs agree to help with evac if we get them on the council
  • council meeting. goals:
  1. convince everyone to evac
  2. get worgs a seat at the table

Factions

Start of meeting mind reading:

  • Kobold Delegation: Qween Leans favor, but has a rising minority of WORSHIP THE DRAGON after the play.
  • Goblin Delegation: Will vote for whatever Thola pitches.
  • Hobgoblin: Still Against. Did not see the play.
  • Old Master: Wants to leave, but feel he must remain neutral.
  • Orc: SPELL FAILS.

The hobgoblin commander tries to stress the safety of the wall in the current location and says monstertown can't survive without walls. He wants to hear the whole plan out before voting, but the Goblin stage manager heads that off and clarifies the focus of this meeting on the evacuation question. The hobgoblin commander amends the final vote to say that if the plan for where they are going isn't approved then they won't leave.

The vote to prepare to evac passed 3/0 with 2 abstains


We close with a downtime week. We spend in advance for divination - alert does not go off at all, so still have at least a week
