GM Text Vomit:

The Ubrekti-Wydmoor war lasted a long time. Initially, it went very poorly for Wydmoor, and continued to go poorly until the whole rest of the Mainland order fell apart. As the Gnomish civil war distracted the attention of the dwarves and gnomes, Collar's Crusade became more of a sectarian conflict between the human nations. After the martyrdom, starting with Celstia and/or Odessa, human states started ordaining martial clerics which opened the door for a bunch of radical splinter faiths.

So, all these wars are sort of tied up with each other, yeah? Once the Odessans and Celstians started minting non-orthodox clerics, the nations more strongly tied to the church (Flannary, Ubrekt, Alexian rump states) teamed up, leading Odessa and Wydmoor into a marriage of convenience and necessity. The Odessans got to get off the hook for all the money that got stolen and got to keep the red iron mines in exchange for Odessan support of Wydmoor's independence faction...

Once the Wydmoor-Ubrekt thing dies down, the next order of business is grinding out the Gnomish Civil War (Dwarf+Wild Gnome faction+Brights faction). By the time that's taken care of, the Odessans have pretty much forced a stalemate after the loss of not-wales. At this point the magic statue thing is ruined and no one can fix it, and the dwarves and gnomes ar do not want to enter into a brand new war on the other side of the continent, so after more fighting than probably necessary, an armistice and mutual recognition is reached

As always, there is IRL theft of the highest order going on here. In this case, it's pretty transparently the 30 Years War, where religious sectarian violence gave way to maybe the first realpolitik war. It went well for everyone.

Bootleg 30 years war. By the end of the 30 years war, the per-region loss of life was 33% ON THE LOW END and pushing 70% on the high end.
