Over time working as a team Sid has grown fond of all of his [[:Category:MFC Next Alfa|recent companions]], but he is generally most comfortable around city gnomes and sometimes dwarves and often finds humans and halflings to be dirty, violent, and impulsively unthinking. His time abroad and the lack of meaningful direction and responsibilities has soured him on his job, but the time in less civilized lands has only strengthened his love of Hakan and the Gnomish way of life. Sid frequently misses the cleanliness and conveniences (like indoor plumbing and mass transit) of Hakan City and the University and he remains more than a bit of Hakani nationalist. | |||
Sid is mostly non-religious and considers divine magic practitioners to be strange and mostly incomprehensible though he is not particularly interested in understanding how they practice, preferring the clear and logical practice of wizard spellcraft and study. He's certainly not above asking for a Bless or Healing Word though. | |||
Sid spends much of his free time, including hours most night while his comrades sleep, recording his observations in extremely tight, coded elven script in small books or studying his spellbook. At least once every 5-16 days he writes abbreviated reports in vaguely coded Gnomish which he sends back to his bosses through whatever trade channels he has access to. He is almost always truthful and honest in these reports, but has on occasion, such as the recent [[Team Alfa Twenty-Second Session|murder of Handlestadt's first embassy]], omitted much of his own role in the actions he reported on. | |||
