Background
Early Life
Karoz is the sole survivor of a Thri-kreen asteroid system that was destroyed by undead. Several of Karoz's kin were killed in invasion by bloodsacs. While the hive was still reeling from that attack several vessels crewed by undead came literally crashing in without warning. Over the course of many days the entire colony with the exception of Karoz were killed or in a few rare cases, turned. Karoz due to being the smallest and the quietest was able to hide for many days. Eventually the captain of the crashed ships, the dread vampire pirate Captain Nefarus, reconstructed a new space-worthy ship and collected a new crew of undead and took to the stars again. Karoz managed to survive days of scavenging alone through the remains of everything he had ever known until being rescued by a ship of undead hunters following the trail of Nefarus. The crew of the Black Heart, led by the captain Brinley Gorga, took Karoz with them and continued their hunt for vampires. Over a few months they tracked the trail of death destruction left by the vampire pirates while training Karoz in the vampire hunting trade. Shortly before the final battle Karoz was ditched on a trading mission while the Black Heart went on a successful suicide mission against a small moon Nefarus had taken over.
Current Life
Karoz is skilled in basic ship skills and eager to find a new crew and get back among the stars. His own personal vengeance is more or less settled, but he still hates vampires and undead and is very knowledgeable in their destruction and there are always more out there.
