Recovered from the Tomb of the Barbarian King near Wydmoor Free City, this shield is clearly of ancient and primitive make, although of superb quality for its origins. It is made of darkwood with a thin covering of bronze, in the center of which is the figure of a bull's head. It attaches to the arm with a pair leather straps with bronze buckles.

It is a buckler, which acts as a shield, but gives only a +1 AC bonus in exchange for allowing use of the shield hand. Any ranged weapon or spell attacks sourced from something other than the wielder of the buckler that pass within 5' of its wielder are made against the wielder rather than their original target.

It can also be used to cast shield without the usual components. Once used, this ability cannot be used again until the next dawn.

Formerly carried by Germain, founder of the Azure Geese, it is now used by Whip.
