Talk:Wint
Warlock Patron
abs usually doesn't like requiring complex warlock pact/interaction stuff, but my idea with Wint's hexblade powers are sort of tied into the lazy/magically duplicitous flaws. Part of starting with metamagic is i figure he's probably had the classic accidental or unintended magical events growing up. someone who has magically just made things they desire happen. the warlock connection is basically the result of a powerful novice reaching out for more power to do wish fulfillment shit like running around in armor casting spells and swinging a warhammer he'd otherwise barely be able to move with. more like getting spyware from a shady download rather than a direct communication with a planar entity.
it was not explicitly included with flaws on the character sheet, but i sort of figured the obvious drawback towards battle and spellcasting is part of that same pact. like if it's a battle spirit or wandering ghost of a super weapon or whatever hexblade is intended to be it doesn't need to drive Wint to an always attacking berzerker rage or anything that direct and bloodthirsty. his training and temperament still allow for him to be decently diplomatic and social, but the warlock brain worms probably have some sort of symbiotic push to drive him ultimately towards roaming, conflict, and then casting big spells to get out of it. on some level he's probably even aware of it but the power he's gained is too obvious and immediately useful that he'd never consider giving it up and is instead actively engaged in nurturing and growing those powers.
