Background

Early Life

Blurgov's family has been involved with Monster Town since its creation. His great-grandfather was Scarred Krex, an Orc raider who converted to Alexandrianism after personally meeting Gub and aided in Gub's reformation of the city. Scarred Krex's descendants have included several monks, clerics, and paladins who have dedicated their lives to Gub's teachings and ideals. Blurgov is named after the founder of the House of the Green Hob, the order of hobgoblin monks that trained Gub. Blurgov's immediate family consists of orcs, humans, half orcs, an adopted hobgoblin brother, and even a brother in-law dissident dwarven exile in a manner that is not uncommon in Monster Town, but pretty much unimaginable in most civilized areas. Blurgov decided at an early age to become a paladin and showed great physical strength, but also magical aptitude and a gift for speaking and evangelizing. Having completed his initial training Blurgov has been named a Knight of the Barred Red Door, an order dedicated to the fight against fiends and other forces of evil who seek to corrupt the goblin and orc races and keep them from reaching their true Alexandria-given potential of peace and enlightenment. He has left his home for the first time in his life in a quest to learn more of the outside world and to share the power and message of Alexandria and Gub.
