Gerom is one of the middle children of the Rindherder clan. He is big and likes to fight, and most of the clan thinks he's a thug. Him and Beldon have some bad blood on account of they were always going at it, which Ma Sparrow encouraged because it kept Gerom from bullying his little siblings. It's not like they hate each other, mind you, it's just that they don't like getting along.
People say he might be half boat halfling because of his big bones, although they don't say it within earshot of a Rindherder. It's not like he's the only one might not look like his dad, or even the only one might be half-boat, so mostly it's not worth talking about.
