An island in the Heretic Sea. A frequent battleground for Mainland vs Petaran interests, it has been an independent emirate since the treaty ending Barbannan's Crusade in 549 FI. Under the terms of that treaty, Utrell became an independent emirate retaining its Petaran Alexandrianism leadership, while allowing religious freedom for the substantial Orthodox population living there.
