Also, if I remember correctly, at least one and probably more than one of those gods were usurpers who killed the original god of that domain using star iron weapons and stealing their essence. If we're being honest, that's probably as much of a reason for them to leave the material plane as all the problems they were causing going around screwing mortals and otherwise mucking things up because gods can't be subtle

IF memory serves, Salient's sexuality is relevant because he had a strong claim to the throne after the original elven royals were chopped down, but that he set aside because elves are assholes and scandal. Instead, he became the primary adviser to his infant (nephew, I want to say?) that ended up assuming the throne after all the elves were kicked off the mainland by a half-elf october revolution.

This would have been maybe three or four centuries before Alexandria times. Marwynn who currently runs things in elftown is the daughter of that infant. I guess the Wystarians orignally ran Odessa and were replaced by the Corrianders.
