The Second Interregnum occurred between 387-398 FI. It began with the death of [[Thardar Speaker]] and ended with the elevation of the young half-elf [[Marrwyn Sablehand]], who would become one of the most powerful Arch-Wardens in history and whose death would lead to the "[[Hidden Interregnum]]".
The Second Interregnum occurred between 387-398 FI and began with the death of the 15th Arch-Warden [[Thardar Speaker]] when his chosen successor, Handen Hand, was unpalatable to the Church Wardens. After the "Nay" vote was cast, there was no candidate with a plurality significant enough to satisfy the [[Stone-Warden]]. This led to eleven years of conflict between different warring factions supporting different candidates. Because the Stone-Warden requires all candidates to be present at the vote, it only ended after all the candidates had been killed other than [[Marrwyn Sablehand]] who then went on to be one of the most powerful Arch-Wardens in history and whose death and choice of successor led to the "[[Hidden Interregnum]]".
