Sneaks, backstabbers, rebels and urban scroungers all demonstrate aspects of the rogue. Whether ignoring social norms for the sake of their own internal code, or just because it's convenient, they tend to operate outside the bounds of what the law prescribes. While not all rogues would be willing to shiv their own mother for a copper piece, not all of them wouldn't, either.
