This is a small, elegantly bound composition book with painstaking ritual instructions for the spells contained within. Spells with the ritual tag inscribed in this book can be cast as rituals only by whoever is attuned to the book, as long as the caster is in physical contact with the book over the course of the ritual. If the spell in question is not on any of the caster's spell lists, the casting time for the ritual is 15 minutes per level of the spell in question. Spells from the caster's list take the normal amount of casting time (for a ritual).
The book has thirty-two available pages, and the number of pages a spell takes depends on its level: 2 pages for 1st-level spells, 4 pages for 2nd-level spells, 16 pages for 3rd-level spells, and 32 pages for a 4th-level spell. At any time, the attuned user may wipe a spell from the book, freeing those pages for another spell. Scribing such a spell requires having a scroll of the spell in question available to copy from. This consumes the scroll.
