  • Q: So! What is the geography of the Ulan?
  • A: Luckily for me, that is a region beyond maps! (I have a vague understanding of how the three major continents do and do not interact, but all maps are political so I don't make them until I need to)
  • Q: What's the rough geography of the Ulan?
  • A: So, it's well established that the Mainland is in the Southern Hemisphere, so going south is headed into arctic wasteland. One result of this is that means that the Petaran Empire is flavored more Turkish/Central Asian than Agrabah.
  • Q: That's not an answer.
  • A: So, the very rough understanding of the Ulan is as follows:
    • "The Periphery" = Human, Orc, and Gnoll tribes that trade exotics with the frontier plus small guy raiders that live off harassment. (There is no such thing as a frontier. Don't get me started)
    • "The Ulan" = Where Mithral Springs is. Giants, small bands of tough servitors, and the occasional crazy monster.
    • "The Deep Ulan" = Subarctic arboreal. Giants. Large monsters. Burrowing small servitors.
    • "??????" = The East and The West are technically connected by a gigantic ice sheet/glacier that would be challenging even for level twenties to cross. Frost Giant Jarls? Icy Dragon Bois? 99 consecutive endurance checks?
