tactics

  • primarily a blaster. stay out of melee range when possible and cast shield/absorb elements when there are spell slots to spare or else just the war wizard reaction. AC is pretty good but HP is low so avoiding hits is the better option over soaking damage, but concentration won't usually be a major concern. Most often just casting one of the elemental damage cantrips, but she'll have at least a few good high damage spells available each day. Definitely more focused on massive damage over buffing/debuffing/healing/etc, but still probably best to be fairly conservative with spell slot usage and try to preserve slots most of the time to make sure she can always summon a "cannon" plant for any fight that seems at all heavy and use its attack or healing as the bonus action most rounds. Usually it will be a tiny version of the force blaster or when needed the healer flowering from her armor, but it can also be the flame cone one or a small-sized 15' standalone of any of the 3 when needed to hold ground or block a space. Try to keep it healed up with mending if there are spare rounds when not able to blast. Focus on spells with an attack roll over saves due to the wand infusion but also try to prepare good aoe damage spells like shatter. Usually keep 1 infusion on arcane focus and the other either on her own armor or replicate magic item unless there's some other standing party need.

alternates

  • maybe change split ASI to fey touched

Level Advancement Plans

  • All artificer. just focus on blasting shit mostly but still have wide range of situational options.
  • by not advancing wizard won't have to worry about always needing more money for scrolls, but there are probably still a few more spells worth purchasing (any ritual, reaction, or bonus action spells especially) and eventually purchasing half plate would be a good expense.
  • Feats in likely order: 2x INT ASI, Warcaster (or maybe put it between the INT ASIs)
