Over 50 years ago through some sort of planar shenanigans a people from a nearby wilder, more magical, dimension came to inhabit the wilds near the Omatachi Village region. These people have a peaceful but mostly private existence away from the Omatachi with the exception of a twice yearly delegation who come to trade (mostly magical plants or trade goods made from such) and perform any other diplomatic needs. They speak Giant and their own language which is a dialect of Elvish though it is extremely unlikely any PC or NPC would ever know enough of them to make the connection.
