Lost senior class of 1453

in 1453 the entire senior class of the University of Wydmoor stepped through a portal and never returned.

History

Gokar the Wise had tried to set up an expedition to some ruins outside of Oakhurst for many years and had made preparations for doing so quickly. An investigation revealed that in 1453 trusted students with access to Gokar's papers and scrolls had stolen several valuable magical items then magically compelled other seniors to attend a party on the 50th anniversary of the restoration of Wydmoor. At that party a powerful scroll was used opening a portal. Then all seniors seemingly willingly walked through never to be seen again. Whatever magical compulsion used that night only affected that class. All others were unaffected though they could do nothing to stop the ones who were affected.

Trackers were sent from Crestance and were able to easily track the students to the chasm where there were obvious signs of a recent elemental magic battle and many Kobold bolts. No tracker who descended into the chasm returned. All missing students and trackers are presumed dead by violence due to heavy Kobold presence in the area.
