Semi-Autonomy is a step up from their old position, and they have no love lost for the Celstians who were not exactly gracious and subtle three or so generations ago when WALESLAND land was the primary conventional battleground of the Calamity. Odessa has often played favorites as regional hegemon and set WALESLAND against Celstia.
