25 Darkreign, 1514 FI

  • Capt Exposition provides a bit of a lore dump re: Monstertown
    • they use platinum pieces!
    • they're buddies with an enclave of kobolds (who provide the platinum)
    • they've run into difficulties! Apparently they're having to pay tribute to... something. They're in thrall to something to which they now pay tribute!
  • dwarven blockade of Nia Agliare
    • weird city
    • strangely clean. low crime / homelessness. Run by a "living god", who claims to be the daughter of Alexandria. She's pretty powerful! Power over life and death! They call her the Sorcerer Queen!
    • small but competent army. a mercenary group pledged themselves to her
    • the faith has three branches, but she's in charge of all of it
  • this area used to be much more developed, until a magical plague turned most people into zombies.
    • dwarves moved in to block the zombies (and refugees) flooding in
  • monstertown!
    • a great power has arisen in the Scar
    • human emissary walked in 10 years ago, and demanded a bunch of money. we refused, he challenged the most powerful dude in town and DESTROYED HIM
    • we sent an army after him, and only one kobold returned - with his eyes gouged out, tongue torn out. We were able to determine some great and powerful being had reared up in the mountains across the Scar. Most of the council has decided to pay up.
    • when we went back and found the remains of our army, they were incinerated
