Light Halfling Lance
An exotic weapon employed by halfling dog riders, the halfling lance relies on forceful precision and deep penetration for damage dealing. Typically made of very light wood with a head of razor sharp stone. It deals damage and criticals as a regular lance, but while light halfling lances may be created in tiny variants, the weight benefits do not scale to allow such lances in sizes above small. Additionally, due to their light weight and aerodynamic qualities, it may be thrown as a missile weapon. When used in this fashion, they deal damage and critical as a javelin of the same size. Typically, unless a mithril or darkwood variant (which are rarely used as missiles), lances are sometimes destroyed or can be abandoned after a successful attack, so a dog rider will typically carry a number of these on his mount at one time.
Mithril halfling lances weigh five pounds. Halfling lances may not be made of any magical ore that increases weight.
