Would be pretty useless against fire resistant stuff until Elemental Adept(fire) and probably behind the curve on damage in general without homebrewing some sort of spell like a fire version of shadow blade that could be used as regular attacks to still get the monk extra attack and bonus action martial arts attack. Tactics
