Notes
The battle ensues with a bang from a mine set off by Bashir.
The explosions do some good damage as the party moves in. A few goblins cross the bridge to engage Gorra and Thola The druid casts entangle on the sountern group managing to snare them all. The group spends a round to get our of that and then the druid follows up with spike growth but this time only hitting Wolf and Cinder. Wolf and Cinder jump out of the area of effect and Wolf engages in melee. Meanwhile, Thola creates a flaming sphere to block the bridge access. It catches the bridge on fire and begins to move around the battlefield after various goblins.
The Druid then decides to cast heat metal on Wolf's armor. Wolf is decidedly not a fan even if it does have the side effect of keeping the monk goblins from attacking.
A not insignificant number of turns Wolf thinks might be his last but between owl deployed healing and amazing crits from Quyhn the fight goes on. Thola is having a similar batch of fun to the north and being very thankful for her armor as she is beset from all sides.
Near the end of combat, the leader druid - now out of beast shapes and badly wounded - falls back to heal himself and bonus action Wolf to death while the scrum takes down Cinder, too close to a mine. SOMEONE detonates the final mine, doing minimal damage to the druid, but disrupting his concentration on the heat metal spell. The explosion finally sets the increasingly anxious Owlbear into a frenzy, and it breaks out of the cage with a strength check, tears apart the two goblins that have been trying to keep it calm, and bolts into the woods. This also triggers the flight of several of the goblins, who are clearly terrified of the thing. The Druid breaks off toward his personal stash. A lucky shot takes down the Druid before he can do whatever he was going to do, and the party wins advantage over the remaining goblins.
They discover how the Goblins have been weaponzing the Owlbear: The Wand of Lullabies.

- For one charge, you may cast Sleep as a first level spell. For each additional charge used, you may increase the spell level by 1.
- If you use the last charge, there is a 5% chance the wand burns out and is made useless.
After the battle: 6 goblins grunts escape into the woods during the battle.
The group takes a short rest and then heads out to follow the owlbear's tracks.
The group lays some traps between an attempted choke point and then lines up and does surprise round damage. 2 crits out of 5 and the owl bear is taken to negative 3 in one round. Thola uses owlbert to heal it and it rushes the group. Thola casts sleep and puts the owl bear and Wolf to sleep. The owlbear is quickly tied up and the group heads back to town.
