Notes

  • The next day the group is met coming in to town by Mal's right hand Dan who insists they follow him to a meeting at the Gem with the town council immediately.
  • The council has already been meeting for several hours and reached a decision to expel the party for killing Walkott and risking the wrath of the dwarf lord.
    • Sly and his contingent clearly would rather have had them killed, while Mal and Reth pushed for exile, and Charlie is clearly thankful for them saving Yannie and pushed for letting them stay.
  • After only briefly arguing their position they agree to resupply and leave town.
  • They quickly tie up a few loose ends, say their goodbyes, and buy more rations then spend one last night with the priest outside of town.
    • Charlie gives Sid a letter to deliver to contacts in Southwatch as the group decides on heading there as the closest city to the west.
  • The next morning Charlie comes out to say his goodbyes. He refunds their purchases which hadn't arrived yet and also presents them with a gift from himself, Janet, Reth, and Alma: a wooden chest containing an impressive treasure of 10 mithril ingots.
  • The group leaves Mithril Springs behind and sets out for Southwatch, approximately a 10 day journey.
  • The first day out they meet a small halfling caravan. It's Otter's shipment, but the teamsters take their responsibilities seriously and will not give the party their packages. Since they had already been refunded no one protests much and they enjoy a peaceful evening drinking and camping with the halflings.
    • Thola is lucky in dice and wins several score silver pieces gambling.
  • After 2 more days of uneventful travel some sort of encounter happens to start the next session.
  • Southwatch remains about 7 days away at their current pace.
