Assumed power after the assassination of Gladros Sablehand, who had not yet named a successor. Ratnot stumped hard against the unknown gnomish assassins until he was made Arch-Warden. He swiftly undertook a shadow campaign against non-Halfling Curia members in an attempt to claim total control of the church for the Halfling Hand. In this attempt, he was unsuccessful as double agents in his camp discovered and revealed his plans as well as his role in the Sablehand assassination.

This is the origin of Six-Fingered Hand, as various Hand members whose loyalty to the church won out proved decisive in the Shadow Interregnum and combined to form the White Hand of the Halflings.
