The Halfling Boiz removed the Wand Fragment/Altar Key and "turned his prison into a lair." The halflings agreed to leave in exchange for the "key" they had found and free passage through the Misty Tunnels.

The Master of Hounds can speak telepathically to anyone in his lair. His voice sounds like spiders crawling through the folds of your brain.
