A tattooed hermit who lives in the [[Near Ulan]]. He earns his nickname from the cave full of dire bats he lives in (if you are fond of him), or else because of the constant patina of bat guano he seems to always be covered in (if you don't). He is a competent wizard with a special interest in abjuration and divination. He is a good friend to [[PD Pete]] and a skilled Dragonchess player.
