The Wydmoori-Ubrekti War began in 1405 and lasted for 5 years. Following the [[Sack of Wydmoor|Sack of]] [[Wydmoor City|Wydmoor]] in 1402, a small contingent of locals under the leadership of [[Astlen Mead]] quickly reclaimed the city and began a reconstruction effort. By 1405, the city had become an attractive target to [[Ubrekt|Ubrekti]] nobles looking to expand their influence. The first few years of the war were difficult for the fledgling Wydmoor, and the Mead family lacked the political influence to effectively defend the city from such a powerful aggressor. However, [[War of Ubrekti Succession|rebellions in Ubrekt]] divided the nation's attention, and they were not able to secure a decisive early victory. Wydmoor was eventually able to secure the support of [[Odessa]] following their own [[War of Odessan Succession|succession war]], and through this alliance repel the Ubrekti invaders. This war ended with the Treaty of the Seat in 1410, and Wydmoor has remained an independent city-state since.
